SUMMER READING CLUBS FOR ALL AGES !!
For Children!!
Children who read during the summer do better in the following school year. Encourage your children to read by signing them up for the Summer Reading Program. After ten books, 500 pages, or 500 minutes of reading, the child will earn a certificate and a free book. But don't stop there!! Incentive games and special programs at the library encourage more reading throughout the summer. Go to http://www.hcpl.net now to register.
For Teens!!
Register online at www.hcpl.net and log the books you read. After 5 books or 600 pages, you earn a certificate. For each book read, and for each program attended, you are entered in a drawing for cool prizes like posters and signed books by authors. Programs coming up include Black Light Games, a Steampunk Tea Party, and a Saturday evening Tosho-Con.
For Adults:
Register online at www.hcpl.net and log in at least four books during the summer. This makes you eligible for drawings of book store gift cards from $50 to $200. Join in one of the summer book clubs for lively discussion about what you have read.
